Reflection - Question! 1 (the first picture)

For this piece, I combined an image of a bunch of holly leaves and berries (that were outside my house) and a self portrait. The reds of the berries are meant to relate to the reds in my shirt (I also feel that the color of the branches almost match my hair). On the left one of the branches is lined with my shoulder and on the right one of the leaves frames my face. In Photoshop, I made both photographs slightly opaque. I also added a 'dark strokes' filter and a blue filter.

This image is based on the song Question! by System of a Down. The song is about life, death, and the idea of reincarnation. The green represents life and the red represents death. The blue is meant to be dreamlike, referring to the music video and the lines "dreaming the night/ dreaming all right".

One thing I would change about this image is the light. While it was the point to make it dark, because it represents death and it's a dark idea, I felt that this was too dark.

The third image is of myself and my dog Steve. (This one scares people the most.)
The fourth image is based on the music video for Serj Tankian's song Empty Walls. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-CxKA1uETxE)
The fifth image is based on the music video for the System of a Down song Sugar. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5vBGOrI6yBk **WARNING: explicit content and insanity. A couple of not so nice words said that are blocked out, but still...you've been warned.**)
The last two images are combinations of the same two images at different perspectives and with different filters.
