Reflection

The subjects of my photo essay are different objects and locations that are reminiscent of or were important in my childhood. These photographs were taken at my dad's house.

My dad's moving so I won't have as much access to these places anymore. This summer will also make 10 years since my Voa died and these things and places remind me of her.

I'm trying to convey the idea that there are small things that may have seemed inconsequential at one time that now hold more meaning.

The subject of these pictures might not stand out as much in a bigger picture, but these things stand out in my memory, so I made them the focus. I also addeda 1960s filter to convey the idea that these are things from my past.

Most pictures were taken head-on or from the side, making it very obvious what the subject of each picture was.

I added the 1960s filter as well as a faded, rounded edge to reflect the idea of the subjects being things from my past.
